Russ Glenn: News

A Brand New Life - November 8, 2009

I've moved to Michigan and I'm getting ready to start playing again. First gig in over a year coming up at Jackson Coffee Co. Lucky for me it's a kids show, much less intimidating than playing for adults. Kids are much less judgmental, they just go with it. So it should be fun. Maybe you should come and see.

Recording of new album is finished, finally... - April 8, 2007

I just finished recording for the new album yesterday. I'll be posting some of the songs in there rough form over the next few weeks, starting with "Stick" which is up today. Keep in mind that these tracks have not been mastered, so you'll have to crank the volume a bit. Let me know what you think, the album should be out in May!

Rhythm Tracks are done! - January 4, 2007

Scott Harlan (Bass) and Andy Hamburger (Drums) have finished their work on my new album "A Brand New Earth". Even with just these tracks laid down it sounds fantastic! Next, I'll get all guitars and other instruments into the mix and finish with the vocals. As soon as I get a track or two done, I'll post them on the site for you to hear! Thanks for your patience and support everyone!

Little Bird has landed! - December 20, 2006

My new CD Little Bird has arrived! Being a bit old-fashioned and nostalgic for vinyl I had the CD designed to look like a little record. My good friend Graham Hardt painted the actual image of the Little Bird and did an amazing job!
I started playing shows for kids over Thanksgiving (at The Jackson Coffee Co.) and have been having a wonderful time playing for the wee ones. They are responsive and love to dance and giggle and every show makes my day!
I look forward to playing a show for your kids!

Where's The Beef? - May 8, 2006

So, I've become mired in everyday life and the album recording has stalled. Which is OK. I am excited about the songs and how they sound and want this to be a great album. So I'm not going to rush things. Nor am I going to even make projections about when it may be released. It will happen, just not right now. Bit by bit it will come together. Thanks for your patience, and I appreciate your messages and inquiries. Keep 'em coming. I hope to see you sometime over the summer!
